WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE

Take 1 bottle of vinegar, ½ cupful

From 1922:

Take 1 bottle of vinegar, ½ cupful water, 3 tablespoonfuls brown sugar, 2 teaspoonfuls salt, 1 ½ teaspoonfuls cayenne pepper, 4 teaspoonfuls ground cloves, 2 dessertspoonfuls ground ginger, 2 onions cut small.
Boil and put on side simmer for 20 minutes.
