From 1921:
½ cup butter
2 cups “Presto” self-rising flour
¾ cup milk
1 cup sugar
Whites of 3 eggs
1 teaspoon flavoring
Cream the butter, add the sugar then alternately add the “Presto” and milk. Beat the whites of eggs very stiff and cut gently into the cake. Add the flavoring. Cover with any frosting desired.
