The other day I served sixty-five people with this punch and all were delighted with it for it is really delicious and very refreshing, and such a change from orange or lemon base most punch is made of.
I boil one and a quarter cups of sugar with one cup of whey for five minutes. Then chill, and when cold add juice of two lemons and a cup of finely chopped pineapple. Mix well, set on ice to cool and serve either with ice in the glasses or with the punch thoroughly chilled and ice around it.
Too much ice in the punchbowl robs the punch of the flavor desired.
