Wheat Bread Without Yeast

One egg, beaten light, one cup sour milk

One egg, beaten light, one cup sour milk or cream, quarter cup melted butter, quarter cup sugar, one teaspoon soda in milk, salt to taste, whole wheat flour to make a batter which would drop thick from the spoon, about two and a half cups. Turn it into well greased small pans, let it rise about twenty minutes, and bake in a slow oven.
