Presto Waffles

2 cups “Presto” Self-Rising Flour
1 ½ cupfuls milk
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoonfuls butter

Cream the butter and add egg yolks. Mix in the Presto and milk. Bake immediately after mixing, in a well-greased piping hot waffle iron. Serve at once… Continue reading


1 pint of milk,
1 pint of flour,
1 heaping teaspoon baking powder,
1 tablespoon butter and lard mixture.
Beat yolks, and milk, melted grease, flour into which powder has been sifted, and just before frying stir in the whites beaten to a stiff froth.
If not crisp, use a little less flour.
