Tasty Turnovers

Put two tablespoonfuls of boiling

Make some small apple turnovers in ordinary short pastry, pack these tightly in a baking dish, then make a sauce in the following way:
Put two tablespoonfuls of boiling water into a cup, into this put a small piece of butter and three tablespoonfuls of golden syrup. Stir well and pour over turnovers. Bake in moderate oven and serve in dish in which cooked. If a large quantity is made, more sauce will be required.
