SULTANA SCONES

From 1922:

These little scones are delicious for tea.

One pound of self-raising flour
1 teaspoonful of salt
2oz. of lard (rubbed in)
2oz. of sugar
4oz. of sultanas

Make into a dough with milk, divide in two, knead well and roll out, cut each piece in four. Bake in a hot oven for about 10 minutes.
