Strawberry Salad

If you have never enjoyed the pleasure of eating a strawberry salad, you should not permit the month of July to pass without becoming acquainted with this culinary masterpiece.

Cut the strawberries into halves, add just as much sugar as you think they will stand, and afterward, to each quart of berries, add a wineglass of brandy and one tablespoon of lemon Juice. Chill by packing in ice and serve with whipped cream.
