These are attractive and quite novel.
Cut the bread very thin and brush lightly with creamed butter, then spread with a soft filling. Make filling by rubbing cheese or chopped meat (ox tongue, corned beef, sausage and ham loaf) to a soft paste and add seasoning to taste. A few drops of onion juice, finely chopped green pepper, salt and pepper make excellent seasonings. After spreading with the filling roll each slice of bread and secure with a toothpick. Arrange sandwiches on a plate garnished with parsley.
