Raisin Squares

From 1922:

Take ½ cupful sugar, ½ lb. flour, ¼ lb. butter, 1 teaspoonful baking powder and enough milk to mix to a dough, and ¼ lb. of sultanas. Rub the butter, flour and sugar together, add the milk and raisins. Lastly, roll out about four inches thick and cut into squares. Bake a golden brown.
