Prince of Wales Cake

From 1922:

Take ¼ lb. flour, ¼ lb. cornflour, 5oz. butter, ¼ lb. sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoonful baking powder.
Beat butter and sugar to a cream, add egg, sift in flour and baking powder; put in greased patty tins, and bake in a quick oven for ten minutes.
