Boil together one cup of sugar and half a cup of water until the syrup threads. Meanwhile get some one else to heat up three eggs till they are stiff and dry, adding half a teaspoonful of cream of tartar to them when they reach the foamy stage. Then pour the syrup slowly into the whites of eggs, and add a cup of grated pineapple and one pint of stiffly whipped cream. Turn into a large mold and freeze.
