From 1922:
Ingredients: Six passion fruit, four apples, three ounces of sugar, three quarters of a pound of flour, half-a pound of suet, and a gill and a half of water.
Method: Make a dry crust of the flour, suet, and water, and line a pudding basin with it; peel, core, and slice up the apples, and put them into the basin; cut open the passion fruit, and put in the pulp; add the sugar, cover the basin with crust, tie down tightly with a pudding cloth, and string. Plunge the basin into boiling water, and boil for two hours; turn out of the basin on to a hot dish, and serve with custard sauce.
