Take 8 bananas, 2 tablespoonfuls

Take 8 bananas, 2 tablespoonfuls strawberry jam, a little cream, and 1 teaspoonful brandy. Pulp the bananas and whip in the jam, the cream, and the brandy. Serve with custard or with mock cream.
Mock Cream: Beat the whites of 2 eggs to a stiff froth, then beat 2 tablespoonfuls butter with three-quarters of a cup of icing sugar until it is like cream. Add the whites of the eggs and beat all well together.
