Beat together until very light 2 eggs and ¾ cupful sugar, add 1 cupful self-raising flour, and 2 dessertspoonfuls cold water, to which a few drops of essence of almonds have been added. Stir all unfit smooth, pour into 2 medium sandwich tins, and bake in quick oven 7 to 10 minutes, then jam together, or use any filling you like.
