Lemon Pudding

Mix cornflour in a basin with cold water

From 1922:

The grated peel and the juice of 2 lemons, 2 tablespoonfuls cornflour, 2 eggs, 4 tablespoonfuls sugar.
Mix cornflour in a basin with cold water, pour boiling water on, stirring until thick, like starch.
Beat yolks of eggs and sugar together, mix with grated peel and juice of 2 lemons, mix all together.
Bake 10 minutes, then cover with beaten whites.
This pudding is nice, either hot or cold.
