Grandma-approved old fashioned recipes

Jeff Davis Custard

Six eggs, well beaten

From 1914:

Take:
Six eggs, well beaten
One cup of cream or milk
Two cups of sugar
Two tablespoons of melted butter
One spoon of vanilla
One spoon of lemon flavoring
Two tablespoons of flour or corn starch

Mix all well together; bake with one crust; be sure to have a deep pie plate. This recipe will make two pies.
