Wash the moss in cold water, put in with the milk into a double boiler, let it cook till it hardens when dropped on

sprinkle of salt,
1 quart milk,
teaspoon vanilla.

Wash the moss in cold water, put in with the milk into a double boiler, let it cook till it hardens when dropped on a cold plate. Strain, add seasoning and flavoring and pour in a wet, cold mold.
