Half oz. of gelatine, 1 ½ pints fresh milk, 1 cupful sugar, 3 eggs; vanilla flavoring. Soak gelatine in milk for 3 hours, then add sugar and yolks of eggs, well beaten. Place in saucepan, stir until it thickens (not boils), and take off the fire and let it cool. Beat the whites to a stiff froth and add last. Pour in mould to set very nicely.
