Select fresh ripe grapes-not overripe-stem them and put them over the fire with just enough water to prevent scorching.
When the fruit is broken turn it into a jelly bag and let it hang and drip all night. In the morning squeeze out all the juice you can and strain this a second time. Add sugar to suit the taste, put the juice over the fire and bring to a boil, removing any scum which may rise to the top. After this is done put the juice into bottles while boiling hot, cork and seal, or can it in air tight jars as you would fruit or vegetables.
