Ginger Nuts

From 1922:

Take 3 cupfuls of flour, 1 teaspoonful baking soda, 2 teaspoonfuls ginger, 3 tablespoonfuls dripping, 2 tablespoonfuls treacle, ½ a nutmeg grated, ½ cupful sugar, ½ cupful milk.
Mix all together, roll out thin, cut in shapes, and bake half an hour in a good oven.
