From 1917:
1 ½ cups flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup chopped raisins
1 teaspoon soda dissolved in a little
warm water
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
When mixed thoroughly this makes a stiff dough that may be dipped up with a spoon and dropped in a well greased pan. Bake in a hot oven.
These will keep fresh indefinitely when placed in a tin box.
