One cup chopped suet, one cup molasses, one cup sour milk, one and one-fourth cup raisins, seeded and chopped; three-fourth cup currants, two and three-fourths cups flour, one and one-half teaspoon soda, one teaspoon cinnamon, one-half teaspoon cloves, one-half teaspoon salt.
Add molasses and milk to suet; sift together two cups of flour, soda, salt and spices and add to molasses, etc.
Mix fruit with remaining one-fourth of a cup of flour and add to the butter; pour into buttered pudding mold and boil three hours. It may be served with cream, caramel or hard sauce.
