Cocoanut Cream

Mix 3 oz. cornflour with a gill of milk, put 1 ½ pints in a saucepan, and when boiling add the cornflour; cook for five minutes, then stir in 1 ½ oz. of butter, 1 oz. of sugar, and 1 ½ oz. of grated cocoanut; color with a little cochineal, pour into a wet mould, and turn out when cold, sprinkle with grated cocoanut, and decorate with halved cherries.
