Cinnamon Cake

Take 2 cupfuls butter, 1 cupful sugar, 2 cupfuls flour, 2 teaspoonfuls baking powder, the whites of 2 eggs and ½ cupful milk. Mix the butter and sugar to a cream, add the stiffly-beaten whites, then flour and baking powder sifted; lastly the milk. Bake for half an hour in a flat dish. Beat the yolks of two eggs add 1 cupful brown sugar and 2 cupfuls cinnamon. When well-beaten together spread over the cake while it is still hot.
