CAPE GOOSEBERRY JAM

Strip the fruit and weigh

Strip the fruit and weigh it. Put it into a preserving pan, nearly cover it with water, bring to the boil and boil until the fruit is soft. Then add three quarters of a lb. of sugar for each lb. of fruit, and boil quickly until the jam will set when tested.
