Pour boiling water over fresh almond meats. Let them stand for ten minutes or until the skins can be easily stripped off. Dry the almond meats between the folds of a clean dish towel. Put them in a baking pan with a teaspoonful of melted butter and turn them over and over until they are well coated. Then place them in the oven stirring occasionally so that they will brown evenly. A sprinkle of salt next, and sift them in a colander to dislodge superfluous salt or butter. Cool and keep in a dry place.
