Quarter pound bread, ½ pint milk, 3 bananas, 1 pint of thick custard made from any good custard powder (sweetened). Soak the bread in the milk for one hour, beat them well together and stir in the custard, slice the bananas into rings and lay them in a greased piedish, pour the mixture over them and bake for half an hour. Serve hot with cream if possible, a layer of jam may be used at bottom of the dish instead of the bananas if preferred.
