Andrew’s Gingerbread

Take 1 lb. of flour, ½ lb.

Take 1 lb. of flour, ½ lb. sugar, ¼ lb. butter, 4 eggs, 1 tablespoonful ginger. Beat the butter and sugar to a cream, beat the eggs well, then add butter and sugar, then add the flour mixed with the ginger until the mixture is thick enough to roll out; roll into thin sheets and bake on flat tins.
