Take equal parts by weight of nuts, dates, figs, raisins, shredded cocoanut, and put all through the meat chopper. Butter the inside of a deep bowl, press the mixture down into the bowl, and weight it. Let it stand over night, turn it out, and slice thin.
Any decoration desired may be placed within the bowl. I made holly from the little “red hot” candies and cut citron for leaves and stem.
