AN INDIAN RECIPE

Sufficient for 6 persons.

2 lb. lean mutton, ½ lb. sliced onions, 2 tablespoonfuls of limejuice, 1 tablespoonful castor sugar, ½ teaspoonful each of curry powder, ginger, cloves, salt and rice. Slice the meat thinly, barely cover it with warm water, add the onion, limejuice, sugar, curry powder, ginger, cloves and salt to taste. Simmer very gently from 2 ¼ to 3 hours, and serve with well boiled rice. Sufficient for 6 persons.
