American Scones

From 1922:

Two eggs beaten separately
2 tablespoonfuls butter
1 cupful milk
1 teaspoonful salt
1 tablespoonful sugar

Mix yolks, sugar and butter, then milk and flour to make a soft dough.
Stir in the whites, beaten stiff, the very last.
Roll out lightly, cut into triangles.
Roll each up and bake in oven about 10 minutes.
